Preparing to fishing
Rods
First of all, you need a rod. There are rods of different grades (and of course the prices are also different). Besides, depending on the grade, you need to choose different types of fishing shots. Rods differ by damage they cause to fish during fishing.
| Name | Grade | Price |
|---|---|---|
| | No grade | |
| | Grade D | |
| | Grade C | |
| | Grade B | |
| | Grade A | |
| | Grade S | |
Lure
Lures differ by colors. There are yellow, green and purple lures.
There are also 3 kinds of lures for the beginners. They have a special feature: they show you which skill to use when you’re fishing with them. However, there’s a disadvantage: if you use them, you can only catch fish of low quality. Anyway, such lures are preferable if you’re just a novice. You can buy around 20 lures of the type and give it a try.
Any type of lure can be used with a rod of any grade.
Fishing Guild Members sell lures in shops.

Color differentiation for lures will help you catch a certain type of fish. According to the description, green lures will help you catch more Nimble fish, yellow lures – more Ugly fish, and purple lures – more Pudgy fish.
Fishing Shots
They are used the same way as shots for weapon: If you use fishing shots, damage to fish doubles. Be careful: if you use the skill which doesn’t suit for the situation, the fishing shot increases fish’s XP by the same value as the value of damage you'd cause to the fish if you used the “right” skill. In general, it’s recommended to use fishing shots only for the fish which is hard to catch.
Fishing shots, unlike Soulshots or Spiritshots for weapon, cannot be used automatically.
For rods of each grade you need fishing shots of the same grade.
Fishing Shot (No-Grade)
Fishing Shot (D-Grade)
Fishing Shot (C-Grade)
Fishing Shot (B-Grade)
Fishing Shot (A-Grade)
Fishing Shot (S-Grade)
You can get fishing shots through Quest for Fishing Shot.
Skills
Of course you need fishing skills to catch fishes. They don’t require skill points (SP), but they cost money. Fishing Guild Members sell them in shops. To get the skills, you need to choose "Upgrade fishing skills" option in the dialogue menu.
You need four fishing skills:
Fishing,
Pumping,
Reeling and
Fishing Expertise.
Fishing is an active skill and has 1 level only.
Fishing Expertise
Fishing Expertise defines the color of the fish and the level of the mob you may catch:
- 1—3: Green Fish
- 4—6: Jade Fish
- 7—9: Blue Fish
- 10—12: Yellow Fish
- 13—15: Orange Fish
- 16—18: Purple Fish
- 19—21: Red Fish
- 22—24: White Fish
- 25—27: Black Fish
In general, 50% of your catch will match the expert level you’ve learned, 45% will be of a lower level and around 5% of a higher level.
Potions that decrease Fishing Expertise level
Sometimes you’ll have to decrease your fishing skills, for example, to catch fish of a lower grade. To do so, you can buy from Fishing Guild Members special potions which decrease your Fishing Expertise level. Duration: 1 hour. Please note that you cannot increase your Fishing Expertise level using such potions.

Pumping and Reeling
Pumping и Reeling skill are meant to damage fish while fishing.
The higher is the level of each, the higher is the damage you cause to a fish. The higher is the level, the less is skill rollback time. You must remember, however, that if the difference between Pumping/Reeling skills level is your Fishing Expertise level is two levels or more, you get a penalty: damage from each skill is reduced by 5% for each level of the difference.
Skills gained during fishing
By fishing you can acquire new skills. To do so, you need to sell your catch to a Fishing Guild Member. To get new skills, you need
Proof of Catching a Fish . Such proofs can be gained during fishing or you can exchange other resources for it.
Expand Common Craft — Increases the number of recipes that can be recorded in common recipe books by 6 slots for each level, 48 slots maximum.

Fishing process
Fishing process is pretty easy. If you’re a beginner, we recommend you to use lures for beginners as such lures show you which skill is to be used at a particular moment. If you use such lures, you’ll get used to fishing without any problems.
To start fishing, you need to find deep waters. Deep waters is any pond. If you stand in such a pond, you have a breathing scale above your head.
Place on the hotkeys pane such skills as Fishing, Pumping, Reeling, and Fishing Shots. Besides, you need slots with weapon and main attacking skills, as you need to remember that you can catch a monster.
Stand on the coastline facing the water. Use
Fishing — and your character starts fishing. There’ll be a new window on the screen where you’ll see your fishing shot. All you need to do now is to catch a fish using Pumping and Reeling skills.
There are several ways to define which skill is to be used at any particular moment. Most successful one is watching your fish's XP bar:
- if HP doesn’t change — use
Pumping;
- if HP is increasing, it means that the fish is healing itself —
Reeling.
If your choice is correct, the HP bar will shorten by the damage you’ve caused. If your choice is incorrect, the HP bar will increase by the same value.
If your fish’s HP equals zero before the time is out (30 seconds), you’ve caught the fish.
Night fishing
Night fishing is available from 0.00 a.m. till 6.00 a.m. of gametime (you can learn about the current gametime using /time command or by clicking the map).
To catch a high quality fish during night fishing, you’ll need a Luminous Lure.
However, such fish is smarter than the usual one. If HP bar of a fish is red, it means that the fish is trying to fool you. In this case Pumping and Reeling skills have reverse effect.
- if HP doesn’t change — use
Reeling;
- if HP is increasing, it means that the fish is healing itself — use
Pumping.
Fish dressing
When you’ve caught enough fish, you can dress it (by double-clicking). There’s a chance that you get nothing at all.
If you succeed, you may get the following items:
Most of the resources you get can be used to make common items. You can also exchange them for
Proof of Catching a Fish at Fishing Guild Members’. Please note that you have a great option to make fish resources of a higher level. For example, you can make
Greater Fish Oil (costs
Proof of Catching a Fish — 5 pcs.) of 4
Fish Oil (cost
Proof of Catching a Fish — 4 pcs.).
